In the Name of Almighty Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamualaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu

Alhamdu Lillaahi Rabbil 'Aalameen was-Salaatu
was-Salaamu 'alaa Asrafil Anbiyaa'e wal Mursaleen.

Wa Ba'd:

Ibad Allah! The world of Islam today suffers from grave weaknesses! So weak is that world that Muslims are being driven our of their homes and from their homeland. Muslims are becoming refugees all over the world. Our Muslim sisters are being raped with contemptuous disdain. Masaajid are being razed to the ground. Unarmed Muslims taking refuge in a Masjid are brutally murdered. They are being tortured in concentration camps and linger in refugee and squatter camps. Innocent Muslim blood continues to be shed on a daily basis and not a single eyelid is raised to bring this madness to an end. It would appear that we have not yet reached the stage of actual revival - not by a long stretch. As Muslims, there has not been much change in the practical aspect of our lives: no change, that is, in the direction of true unadulterated Islam. A strategy of mass education is urgently required. The objective situation must be described with candor. "The Salihin shall inherit the earth" [Surah Al Anbiya verse 105] says the Most Holy Qur'an, men who maintain poise in life and protect it from every form of exploitation - Verse 155 Surah Al An'am:

"And this is a Book which We have revealed
As a blessing: so follow it and be righteous,
that you may receive mercy."

All over the world today millions of Muslims live in abject poverty, in destitution, under subjugation and oppression. We are victims of Islamophobia and xenophobia and a paralyzed world of Islam seems totally helpless to do anything about the plight of our nation. It is not difficult to recognise that Islam has been under siege - not only today and not only since yesterday, but for several centuries now. The decay of Islamic civilization, the progressive weakening of faith in Islam, the ineffectiveness of the Islamic teachings in our daily lives - all this is almost entirely due to the fact that for centuries we who profess to be true Muslims have been out of touch with the true premises of Islamic Law. The helpless, the weak and despised world of Islam can do absolutely nothing to respond to the sufferings of innocent Muslims in Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Chechnya, the Caucasus regions, Bosnia, Kosova and the Philippines.

Fa ya Ayyuhan nas! The spirit of Islam is not being translated into our daily lives. The Islam that we call upon our fellowmen to adopt as their guide in life is not one and the same thing as that passed off under this name by some of the rulers in some Muslim nation states. They have no respect or regard for the Divine Laws of Islam as they seldom hesitate in breaking it at will. They feel no need to be faithful to Islam because they sometimes follow man-made laws borrowed from the West and sometimes the Divine Law as may suit their needs. They are the ones who have been cursed by Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala because they are guilty of injustice towards their fellowmen as well as Almighty Allah for they choose from either side not what is right according to them but only that which serves their personal ambitions, greed or lust.

O you who believe! It is the purpose of the Most Noble and Glorious Qur'an to firmly implant awareness in our inner being and hearts, to transform our hearts and fashion us in such a way that we are inwardly impelled to perform deeds of value. Since a Muh'min depends for success in his or her striving on the infinite power of Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala, in Whom he or she places all his or her hope and reliance, the passing hardships and sorrows he or she encounters will never be able to darken his or her life, however difficult the path of the goal may appear. He or she will will even accept failure with equanimity, if that failure occurs on the path leading to Almighty Allah, and regard failure as being a kind of victory in itself. Whoever chooses Almighty Allah Subhanahahu Wata'ala as his or her protector and guardian will escape the darkness of bewilderment and misguidance for this has been made crystal clear to us in verse 257 of Surah Al-Baqara:

"Allah is the guardian of those who believe;
He brings them forth from darkness into Light."

We are living in a time when the need to centre our lives on the Most Holy Qur'an is most urgent and compelling. Without this we will never discover ourselves, we will never give meaning to our existence, and we will never find dignity in this world. Most importantly, we will never please our Glorious Creator and Maker. The Most Holy Qur'an is the ultimate arbiter of our destiny: be it our rise to the heights of glory and civilization or our fall into the bottomless pits of decay and ignominy, it will happen because of how we live with respect to Almighty Allah's Final Revelation - the Most Noble Qur'an. The Muslim nation is passing through a time of unprecedented stress and gravity, a time that calls for the utmost moral and physical effort on the part of every individual Muslim. It is precisely because of our lack of spiritual integrity that we have fallen so low and unless we regain it quickly we will remain lost in the wilderness of confusion.

Ma'aa sheral Muslimeen! I am addressing my concerned brothers and sisters in Islam who realize the desperate crisis confronting the entire Muslim nation. Islam is under siege and the genocide being perpetrated against the Ummah continues unchallenged in many circumstances. I am talking and addressing all those who are concerned and dedicated to the Divine Truth, the whole Truth and nothing but the absolute Truth. The Truth that Islam has to offer to the world and to a confused humanity; I am talking to those Muslims who have the courage to face the facts as they are and who, in short, desire not only to serve the Glorious Din of Al-Islam but to live it totally and completely for the Pleasure of none other than Almighty Allah Tabaraka Wata'ala.

If we fail to make Qiyam from our silence and seclusion to rescue the suffering of humanity from destructive forces of evil and to defend Almighty Allah's Din at the risk of our comfortable lives and possessions, we will find our pipe-dreams collapse where we will be enveloped in the midst of a fierce hell. The Most Glorious and Noble Qur'an in verses 116 and 117 of Surah Hud calls those who take a stand against moral corruption, crime and chaos in society as "Ulu Baqiyyah", for they embody the Divine Human values that have remained and survived in a bankrupt and godless society. Society has today sunk deep into the depths of moral and spiritual decadence. All human norms are being violated by the injudicious and wealthy godless agents of Dajjal. It is the duty of the "Ulu Baqiyyah" of today to take a strong public stand and save the Doonya from sinking further into the quicksand of certain destruction.

Alhumdoelillah! Today Islam is the only force on the world stage that can challenge and oppose the efforts of the arrogant world-eaters to put humanity in chains and to bring about a new "world disorder" based on utter universal slavery and subjugation. As true Muslims we must struggle to extricate ourselves from the poisonous embrace and from the tentacles of modern Shirk and to restore the sovereignty of Almighty Allah Rabbul Ala'meen in respect of both our private and public life. The secular model of society has rejected the sovereignty and supreme authority of Almighty Allah and replaced Almighty Allah with the sovereign State. And that evil secular model of society has today taken control of all mankind, including the world of Islam! There are many people today who lament and are distressed by the present condition of their societies, but they are unable to do anything effective or to sketch out a plan of action.

A society that has fallen prey to a sick culture cannot fail to be replete with all kinds of impurity and abomination. What I mean by a "sick culture" is self worship, pessimism, ego, the absence of goals, a belief that life lacks all meaning. Intellectual confusion is also one of the chief symptoms of a sick culture. The solutions that are proposed for the solution of the crisis are fruitless and ineffective when it comes to controlling the deviant tendencies rampant throughout Muslim society. In order to find our way as Muslims, we must not underestimate the role of the spirit and the heart in our development and not ascribe to the heart the greatest share in the ascent of the spirit to the highest degree of perfection. Have not love and faith made possible throughout human history the greatest acts of devotion and self-sacrifice?

O Ummatal Qur'an!

"Allah is the guardian of those who believe;
He brings them forth from darkness into Light."

Islam places the crown of vicegerency on man's head; there can be no greater honour. The whole structure of Islam is based upon the doctrine of Divine Unity, and when it declares that man is Khalifatullah, the vicegerent of Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala on earth, it elevates him so much that one cannot think of a higher and nobler concept of humanity. Islam further, teaches that man is sinless and pure by nature. We can be weighty in the scales of Almighty Allah Rabbul Ala'meen only when we are believers with the spark of true faith in our hearts; when we are the bearers, indeed proud bearers, of the Message of Islam; when we can say to the trumpet's sound that we are Muslims, an imperishable people and the custodians of the Divine Message.

Almighty Allah has bestowed upon us the greatest favour and blessing, that is Islam. May He, in His Infinite Mercy and Bounty grant us the good fortune to find our way again to the Straight Path and to revive the Islamic values in our midst and to cherish them again: to bow and bend only before Him, and to fear no one besides Him, and be loyal to His Din, and proud of His Message! We beseech Him from the depths of our hearts to confer this wealth upon us. He, indeed, is Gafooroor Raheem and is able to do all things. "O Allah! We are weak and disunited, give us strength and unite us into a single brotherhood. We are lowly, bless us with honour; we are indigent, give us sustenance, and create a distance between our nation and wickedness. We beg of Thee protection from doing harm to anyone, and we ask of Thee the chance of doing good to everyone." - Ameen!

And Almighty Allah knows best.

Baarak Allaahu Feekum wa-sal-Allaahu wa-Sallam 'alaa
Nabiyyinaa Muhammad Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam.

Was Salamualaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu

Abdul Hamid
